Japanese Embassy opens Traditions and Culture of Japan exhibition at National Library as part of Japanese Autumn in Belarus Festival

The Embassy of Japan’s exhibition is accompanied by a display of over 100 editions exploring Japanese culture. In addition, there are volumes dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Iosif Goshkevich — a native of Belarus, who was the first Russian Consul to Japan and who created a Japanese-Russian dictionary. The annual Republican contest for the best oral presentation in Japanese is being organised, with the winners heading to Moscow in October, for the next round, gathering CIS representatives.
