Logistics of potash fertiliser delivery from Belarus to China by rail
The First Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications, Yevgeny Rogachev, tells us, “We’ve been considering the best way to transport our potash fertilisers to China by land and have decided on using Belarusian Railways.”
China is one of the largest markets for Belarusian potash fertilisers, alongside Brazil, which receives shipments by sea, through the Port of Klaipėda. Belaruskali JSC exports to more than 70 countries and, in the first half of the year, sold about 20 percent of its volume to Chinese customers.
