“During a visit to the Kemerovo Region, a delegation of the company signed two big supply contracts totalling $110m. The shipment of goods will be launched in the near future,” said Mr. Parkhomchik. Moreover, an agreement has been reached with the biggest Russian diamond-mining company, Alrosa, to deliver 19 heavy-duty mining trucks. There are plans to increase their number to 29 in the future.

According to the Director General, the company is also actively working with the African market. BelAZ supplied its first equipment to the African continent in 2010-2011. Then seven dump trucks were sent to Africa; today, there are 41 BelAZ vehicles there. “At the Sishen mine, in the Republic of South Africa, where they use equipment of our competitors, BelAZ haulers were acknowledged as the best equipment in 2013,” added Mr. Parkhomchik. Such positive feedback gave an opportunity to sign a contract with Zimbabwe. Equipment worth $12m will be shipped to Zimbabwe in September.

Moreover, the Belarusian company is negotiating the sale of dump trucks to Mongolia and Iran. Interest in Belarusian equipment is shown by Latin America including Chile, Peru and Brazil. Talks with representatives of US and Canadian companies will be held in September and October.
