International Legacy of Centuries Festival brings together over 700 participants at Mir Castle
Mir has hosted the top historical reconstruction clubs and performers of medieval and folk music, as well as masters of ancient crafts and show bands. In total, the festival brought together over 700 entrants.
The aim was to re-create a knightly tournament from the Middle Ages and the life of a field camp near the town walls as precisely as possible. Guests enjoyed seeing the 14th-15th century battles and way of life, while perusing a craft fair, and taking part in medieval dancing and games. Musical concerts, and tournaments of mounted warriors and those on foot, kept everyone entertained, as did an archery tournament and other events.
This was the third Legacy of Centuries Festival at Mir Castle, which is unrivalled in Belarus in its scale.
