Among the hockey players showing impressive results were forward Sergey Mozyakin (Magnitogorsk Metallurg) who played for the Team East and Brandon Kozun (Jokerit) for the Team West. They each scored six times. The teams, with 51 goals between them, set a record with the previous highest result being in 2011, when Mr. Yagr’s team smashed that of Mr. Yashin (18:16).

After the game, hosted by Moscow’s Arena of Legends, Mr. Ellison said that it was good for him to be part of the All-Star Game history. “It’s great that I’ve set a record. Looking to the future, however, important matches in the regular championship are next in line and this is simply a reason to have fun while spending time with the best players of the League,” he noted.

A game of the best KHL players was organised as part of the hockey festival; for the first time, the Team East won — 3:2.
