The agro-tourist business in the Grodno Region is becoming ever more popular. In 2011, the region had just 185 agro-estates while, in 2015, this figure rose to 303. In 2016, at least 20 more such sites are to open. Last year, more than 57,000 visitors holidayed there, with almost 3,000 of these being foreign.
Hosts of agro-estates are more and more often trying to offer their guests unusual entertainments. Some focus on animal breeding while others are keen on out of the way tourist routes. National cuisine is also a great attraction to tourists.
Work is also continuing on the establishment of tourist clusters in the region’s districts, uniting these estates with other tourist sites and service facilities.
