‘Aggressive’ exports are key to success

Economic growth secured by increasing external debts is unacceptable for Belarus, noted Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, summing up the conclusions of a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Belarus, hosted by the Foreign Ministry

The Head of the Government reminded his audience that economic growth is the key task for the Republic today. He stressed that ‘any economic growth must not be artificial and must not be secured by increasing external debts’. According to the PM, the accomplishment of export goals is the key to the successful implementation of our socio-economic development tasks for 2015. To achieve the goal, we need to work harder to diversify our target markets, avoiding dependence on any single industry.

Delegates at the meeting held detailed discussions regarding the factors that restrict Belarusian exports, as well as possible solutions to the problem.
