Belarus ready for mutual visa abolition with Republic of Korea

The Foreign Ministry of Belarus has confirmed its readiness for the mutual abolition of short-term visas with the Republic of Korea. The proposal to submit a bilateral visa abolition agreement was made during the 8th round of Belarus-South Korea ministerial consultations, hosted by Seoul.

Acute issues of Belarusian-Korean relations and those relating to the international agenda came under discussion, with mutual progress in the trade-economic, investment, science, technology and IT spheres highlighted. Talks also focused on prospects for interaction and integration within the Eurasian space.

Belarus urges that liberalisation of visa formalities will intensify business contacts, tourism and educational and cultural exchange programmes.
