The event, attended by 20 French companies, was organised by the Embassy of Belarus to France, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the city of Rennes, in the Brittany Region. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France, Pavel Latushko, presented the main legislative advantages for foreign investors in Belarus and new opportunities for trade-economic co-operation, taking into account the development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

The Belarusian diplomat told French entrepreneurs about the creation of the Belarusian-French Joint Commission on Economic Co-operation, as well as ways to implement export and import projects under the auspices of Eximgarant of Belarus enterprise and the French credit insurer COFACE. He also described the implementation of projects by Peugeot-Citroen Concern, Accor Group and other French companies in Belarus.
Meanwhile, the Counsellor of the Belarusian Embassy, Vladimir Malevich, presented the export potential of Belarusian companies to French businessmen.

During the presentation, the President of Podia Company, Eric Renaud, joined the President of MX Company, Frédéric Martin, in reporting on French experience in agricultural engineering co-operation with Belarus. Representatives of the Belarusian Embassy and French companies chatted with French businessmen regarding terms for setting up companies in Belarus, as well as working conditions in the Eurasian Economic Union and the certification of goods on the Belarusian market.

On the same day, Mr. Latushko met representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rennes and Brittany, agreeing to organise a visit for French businessmen to Belarus.

The presentation in Brittany was the 14th event of its kind in France to showcase Belarusian potential in trade-economic and investment interaction. In 2013-2014, Belarus held presentations in Brest, Lyon, Nice, Paris, Strasburg, Toulouse and other large economic centres across France, attended by more than 400 French companies.
