Belarus launches essay-writing contest devoted to 70 Years of the United Nations (1945-2015). My World: Sustainable Development Agenda Beyond 2015

The competition is organised by the United Nations in Belarus and by MITSO International University, inviting 11th grade pupils to compete in the MITSO in 2015/2016 academic year in the ‘international law’ speciality.

The aim of the contest is to attract young people’s attention towards UN areas of activity. One thousand word essays are to be written under one of the following themes: ‘1,000 Words for Protection of Forests, Rivers and Oceans’, ‘1,000 Words for Protection from Discrimination and Harassment’ and ‘1,000 Words for Right to Information’.

The awards ceremony for contest laureates will be held during the conference of young scientists, entitled 70 Years of the United Nations (1945-2015). My World: Sustainable Development Agenda Beyond 2015, due to take place in late May 2015.
