А picture can’t be switched off like a TV set

Civilization is feature that reflects cultural level. It determines behavior and intention to stay decent in our contradictory modern world. For that matter, this feature shall be identified by events differences, positions determination, and it is also important to take this feature into account when the government undertakes any measures and when a person acts in this or that way.

An artist examines a person during all his life. And then he turns to make a conclusion that he lacked time to comprehend the earth essence. But he noted many things and revealed it in his creative display. An artist tried to prove that human dignity was in his intentions. A famous Belarusian sculptor Ivan Misko celebrated his 75th anniversary. His entire creative biography is tired with space topic. So, Ivan Misko had created a gallery of cosmonaut’s sculptural portraits as well as Belarusian ones — Vladimir Kovalyonok and Piotr Klimuk. The creator is going to continue this topic further on. In fact, to depict men’s features who explored the cosmos is immense space where the artist’s inspiration remains a living spring. By the way, the famous sculptor confirms this fact in one of the articles of the current magazine “Space infatuation of Ivan Misko”.

Let’s continue talking about the art. Certainly, the artist’s creative box is determined by his drawings, sculptures and other things skillfully made and have a right to be considered an occurrence. Of course, their content is the author’s philosophy. But all the same. Indeed, an artist is usually not a writer, but he or she also has a need to contemplate, discuss, establish his or her art-view, and sometimes even defend it.

“Contemplating artists” might be a name for a standing heading for a series of articles, where one will find different thoughts and contemplations on the problems of creativity, art, and art power drive. By the way, is there what can be called a “Belarusian art-school”? This is one of the questions that were asked Vasiliy Yasiuk, the Director of the oldest art-college in Belarus named after Glebov and member of the Artist Union of Belarus. He is sure that such school exists. It has traditions. And more, according to Vasiliy Yasiuk’s opinion our native school stands out by the trend close to the history. This is a very important item that leaves its mark in the art — he states. The article “An artist cannot do without a heart” you will read in the current magazine.

Belarusian art-school has its own face for sure. We have certain traditions in painting, drawing, sculpture, starting with our oldest artists-teachers: Savitskiy, Gromiko, Vashchenko, Sharangovich… I think that it was them and their followers, who laid base to what has become our traditional art-school. Later younger artists adopted this style.

Generally, the art is self-explanatory, if it has content. By the way, in due time we had had Shagal, Malevich and Kudinsky — all of them come from the Belarusian school. They became famous all over the world. They left an eloquent mark in the civilization.

No doubt, masterpiece of art must bring happiness, satisfaction and create good mood. TV set is a civilization achievement as well. Moreover, if it is well-done. But after all you may switch your TV set off any time. And the picture you won’t switch off. It is always before the eyes.
